Radio Shack.

RADIO SHACK was founded in 1921 by two brothers, Theodore and Milton Deutschmann. The goal of the company was to provide equipment for the then-nascent field of amateur, or ham radio. In 1962, Radio Shack was purchased by TANDY CORPORATION. In 2000, the Tandy Corporation name was dropped and the entity became the RADIOSHACK CORPORATION. The difference was in the spelling: RadioShack in one word against the 2 words of the original company name.
