Schachcomputer.info;
In the line of the Milton Bradley Grand Master and the Fidelity
Phantom, Excalibur was producing in 1997 this computer.
It
was cheaper than its predecessors, but as a consequence with a high
rate of defect units.
Two versions were distributed: the regular and the marble.
The Marble Version is pretty rare: few units were produced.
According to
Schachcomputer.info, the program is the same than the Excalibur
Igor, Ivan and Grand Master. Ron Nelson was the programmer. The
program is the strongest of all the series derived from the Milton
Bradley.
This unit was discontinued for the the number of units needing to be
repaired. Still this unit was interesting: cheap, functioning on
batteries or adapter, keeping memory of the last game. However, the
noise produced by the "machinery" under the board is promptly
becoming an handicap... giving the feeling of something difficult,
heavy happening under the board...
