CXG Chess Series

 

What is so particular about the Chess 3008?
Simply the fact that it was existing 2 versions:

- one the standard version, slightly rare and

- another the Commander version, extremely rare.

Two different programmers... Two different electronic boards...

 

 

 


The Standard CXG Chess 3008 (1987)


 

 

Manufacturer Programmer
NewCrest Technology was founded by White and Allcock in 1981 and added CXG to its name  in 1984. The company became in 1991 the National Telecommunications Systems Ltd.
The computers were manufactured in Hong-Kong.

 - Founded the company LogiSoft ApS and developed:
- a 4K chess computer, which was sold in approximately 200.000 units, and
- a 16K chess computer, which was sold in approximately 50.000 units.
The 16K chess computer was one of the best 16K chess computers at the time.
The 4K chess computer is still the strongest 4K chess computer in the world.
